THE origins of authentic thriving

Hi, I’m Emily, the founder of Authentic Thriving. I help people rediscover their true potential and pro-actively improve their well-being, performance and resilience levels.

With over 10 years’ experience working within HR roles for global organisations, I have trained, advised, and coached leaders and high achievers to build performance and positive workplaces. Recognising these tools could support more people to thrive, not only in their professional settings but their personal ones too, I was always looking to do more with the knowledge and skills I had gained. This led me to establish Authentic Thriving.

During these years as I supported others to be their best at work, my interest in holistic well-being grew. Having emigrated from the UK to Australia, my initial years had been focused on establishing a career and a life here. Yet having achieved these things, something was hindering me from feeling fully ‘at home’. I started to explore different ways to improve my own sense of well-being, which led me to the study of positive psychology and understanding evidence-based interventions which could be applied to effectively manage my energy, drive engagement and build deeper connections to others and purpose to drive optimal functioning and thrive. 

These experiences and the people I have met along the way have provided me with deeper insights and learnings into well-being and it’s impact on performance and resilience levels, and these now influence the way I support others.  Having transitioned from the corporate world, I now have the pleasure of sharing these insights with those seeking to explore, define and take action on their version of thriving.

In addition to a passion to support others, Authentic Thriving is driven by my own strengths and values including a love of learning, curiosity, relationship deepener and stepping outside your comfort zone to grow.
